Pretty poor game which Hull deserved to win imo.

Samuelson looked good but didn't have that final ball last night.

If we had proper late-April weather i.e. mild/comfortable then I'd have sat there until the end.

I don't know what the fuck is going on with the weather at the moment but I had to fucking go as I was shivering and there simply wasn't enough going on to entertain me.

Yeah, Samuelson was quite clearly the best player on the pitch - for me.

That Browne (I think) was terrible last night. Had a first-touch as bad as mine in 5-a-side and kept fucking losing it.

It was ok, nothing more. The freezing cold didn't help with the enjoyment of it.

Hull really should have scored a couple as they had a few really good chances. We controlled the possession without creating any killer chances.

Poor game but Samuelson stood out. Looks like he's going to be an amazing player, got everything and definitely one for the future.

Decent crowd in the end but could have been loads better, what surprised me that without the old bill intervention the queue for UP station worked perfectly, no walking a mile just straight in straight on a train and back to Barking within 20 minutes, and yes I know it was only 1/3 of the usual crowd.

dicksie is just giving an honest opinion, and I can completely relate to him. Sitting there watching a shit game, no atmosphere, raining and freezing cold just aint no fun at all.

Some very skilful kids but sometimes I felt they were trying to copy what the senior team do to the latter and they do not need to do that, everything on the floor for 90 minutes was actually pretty boring especially on a wet skidding pitch where everything has to be very accurate.
Our forwards looked small but as I say they should mix up the way they play including more direct balls into the box and bigger strikers, after 20 minutes Hull had them sussed.

Just back home in Bedford from the game. I enjoyed the game. But having watched the Under 18s and the Under 21s before I do think you see a very different style of game. I think at these levels it seems to be all about pace and physique. You rarely see a player put his foot on the ball and slow things up and then play a killer pass. That said if you accept that then I think tonight was an enjoyable game.
But for sure the poster below who moaned about the traffic was dead right, I drove in from Bedfordshire via M1, M25, M11 and A12 and they were all horrible. Accidents and breakdowns everywhere,

When dicksie says woeful..it equates to pretty good to the average bod.
Top man for making a presence.

Terrible game, only came alive the last 4 minutes. Hull unlucky to lose, can see them winning it next week. A few good individual performances from Samuelsen, Browne, Byram and Oxford but the team as a whole looked pretty poor IMO.

Was it upsetting having to look at the East Stand for 70 minutes?

That was fucking woeful. I left with 20 minutes left. Drizzling down with rain and fucking freezing.

Glad the youngsters won but I couldn't give a toss about missing the goal in the end.

It's nearly fucking May - why the fuck is it so cold?!

This is a fairly new comp..not as prestigious as the Youth Cup..
Good crowd I think.
Strong line up.
Lot of exciting talent for the future hopefully.

Re: Under-21 Premier League Cup Final (West Ham v Hull)
Surprised it's not a full house.
I remember the youth team final at the Boleyn a few years back. Joe Cole and Carrick were playing. The stadium was full to the brim. We couldn't get in, so a few down the front started kicking the doors in. In the end they let us in for free. Great atmosphere, I thought that was going to be the start of good things to come at WHU.
